I'm compiling my boys' homeworks, seatworks and quizzes weekly. The main reason why I'm organizing these papers is to use as a basis for grade computation.Last semester, there's one teacher that marked my son's homework as incomplete. As I checked through my files, all the homework was there and each have scores in red ink. If I haven't kept these papers, I probably just accepted the incomplete grade given by my son's teacher.
I have nothing against teachers. I have a high respect for them. I understand that it was only a clean mistake on his part. But it would be better for us parents to maintain a record of our own for future references.
